European Art Galleries

Exhibit beyond France and Italy

299 art galleries in Germany, Austria and Spain — members of recognised professional associations (Die Galerien, ADKV, Arte Madrid), emails read directly on their official website.

Art galleries still trading in Germany, Austria and Spain — from major contemporary names (Krinzinger, Ernst Hilger, Gagosian, David Zwirner, Perrotin...) to local venues belonging to their own professional association (Die Galerien in Vienna, ADKV in Germany, Arte Madrid in Spain). Every address was read directly on the gallery's own website, never guessed from a domain name; a good share was also confirmed through a direct dialogue with its mail server.

299 art galleries, three markets, one method

This pack brings together 299 art galleries active in Germany, Austria and Spain — from major names in the contemporary market (Krinzinger, Ernst Hilger, Meyer Kainer in Vienna; Gagosian, David Zwirner, Hauser & Wirth, Perrotin at their European locations) to local venues, members of their own professional association: Die Galerien in Vienna, the ADKV (the German federation of Kunstvereine) and Arte Madrid in Spain.

The method is the same as for every other LiveContact pack: no address guessed from a domain name or a template. Every email was read, literally, on the gallery's official website or on the page published by the association that lists it. A good share of the addresses was also confirmed through a direct dialogue with their mail server, without ever sending a message.

What the file contains

  • Gallery name, city, region/country
  • Verified email
  • Website, when published
  • Phone, postal address and postcode, when available
  • Exact source of each address (professional association or the gallery's own site)

Who it's for

Painters, visual artists, sculptors, art photographers, illustrators: anyone looking to exhibit beyond the already well-known circuits in France and Italy. Many of these galleries publish their own application process (portfolio, CV, exhibition project) — check each gallery's specific conditions before sending your proposal.

What this pack is not

This is not an exhaustive directory of every gallery in Europe: it covers three countries, chosen because their professional associations publish reliable, up-to-date directories. It's not a guarantee of a reply either: a gallery that receives a valid email is under no obligation to exhibit your work. It's a solid starting point for outreach, not an order book.

Frequently asked questions

Which countries are covered? +

Three countries: Germany (210 galleries, mostly Kunstvereine belonging to the ADKV), Austria (84 galleries, members of the Die Galerien association in Vienna) and Spain (5 Madrid galleries belonging to Arte Madrid). The pack will grow as other countries get an equally reliable professional directory.

How are the emails verified? +

In two steps. First, every address is read on a page that was actually opened — the gallery's official website or the entry published by its professional association — never guessed from a domain name. Then, a good share of the addresses went through a direct dialogue with their mail server (up to the step right before sending, never actually sending a message) to confirm the mailbox truly exists.

Why do some entries have no phone number or postal address? +

Because that information isn't always published by the gallery itself or its professional association. Rather than inventing a number or an address, the field stays empty — a rule we apply to every pack we sell.

Can I exhibit just by sending an email? +

It depends on the gallery. Many publish a precise application process (portfolio, CV, exhibition project) — a generic email that ignores those conditions has little chance of succeeding. Take the time to check each gallery's own site before writing, especially for the bigger names.

How is this different from other LiveContact packs? +

Every other pack covers the music industry (festivals, venues, labels...). This is the first one dedicated to visual arts — painting, sculpture, art photography, illustration. If you're a musician, this pack isn't for you; if you're a visual artist, it's currently the only pack in the catalogue built for you.
